AS568 Standard O-Rings Reference Chart
AS568 O Rings (Aerospace Size Standard)
AS568 O Rings are the US standard O Ring reference system. The cataloging system was developed by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) and issued in 1971. The AS568 system utilizes a dash " - " to refer to standardized O-ring sizes, which specifies the inside diameters, cross-sections, tolerances, and size identification codes for O-rings used in sealing applications. Due to this system, engineers are able to prototype designs or test designs using the AS586 O Ring sizes as a reference.
The sizing terms follows the (Inner Diameter) x (Outer Diameter) x (Cross Section) classification scale. Therefore, for example, a AS568-201 would have an identification code as (ID 4.34mm X OD 11.4mm X CS 3.53mm).
