JASO O Ring (Japanese Automobile Standard Organization)
The Japanese Automobile Standard Organization is one of the most popular measurement systems to classify O Rings. The purpose of the JASO O-rings standard is to specify the inside diameters, outside diameters, cross-sections, and size identification codes. O Rings in this category are mainly applied in vehicles, specifically the operational aspects of vehicles such as dynamic components like pistons or for mounting components inside certain parts of the vehicle.
The sizing terms follows the (Inner Diameter) x (Outer Diameter) x (Cross Section) classification scale. Therefore, for example, an identification code of JASO-1015 would have the measurements of (ID 14.8mm x OD 18.6mm x CS 1.9mm).
